Neil Croker has tour directed, co-promoted, promoted and executive produced events by some of biggest artists in the world including AC/DC, Dire Straits, Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, Riverdance and Steel City, managed major events including the Barcelona Olympic Games merchandising, and consulted to a wide range of prestigious organisations including the Australian Film Institute, Victorian Arts Centre Trust, Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust, and several World Expo participants.
From 2007-2016 Neil was the custodian of Melbourne's heritage art deco theatre, Palais Theatre. When Neil and his management company took over the venue it was a large (2896 seats), run down space only presenting around 20 events per year. During his 10-year lease he increased the number, quality and variety of events presented at the theatre taking it to a ranking of Australia's No.1 Theatre Concert Venue, and regularly within the Top 20 Internationally (Pollstar), presenting over 125 events and selling over 225,000 tickets per year. Due to the quality of management, promoters returned to the venue with some of the greatest music and comedy artists of all time including Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Al Green, Ed Sheeran, Joe Cocker, French and Saunders, and Australia's John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Sia, Carl Barron and the Australian Ballet.
Neil introduced Australia's first Fan-to-Fan Ticket Resale service offering fans the opportunity to buy and sell tickets to sold-out shows at face value. During this era, the Palais Theatre also won awards for its workplace giving program, community contributions, and the Theatre was inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame.
In the entertainment industry for over 35 years, Neil's experience and skills have seen him become one of the most respected figures in the Australian entertainment industry.
As the director of The Prestige Presents, Neil has returned to the forefront of producing innovative contemporary music productions such as the Australia/New Zealand English language premiere of Madiba The Musical, celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela, and the creation of a robust touring roster of international acts in sell-out shows throughout Australasia. The Prestige Presents annually promotes around fifty to seventy concerts by a diverse range of acclaimed musical talent (as can be seen at the “current events” and “past events” pages of this web site).
